ACE HYBRID
Hybrid Core
Honeycomb foam/paulownia hybrid construction resulting in an optimized strength to weight ratio.
Carbon Fiber
Customized double 45 degree bias Carbon Fiber is a lightweight and durable laminate that maximizes performance by stiffening the flex pattern for increased response and explosive pop.
ABS Rails
ABS is a tough hard wearing composite material which bonds very well to epoxy. This is used during the lay-up process ensuring a smooth, durable and consistent ride. All twin tip rails and insert blocks are made from ABS material.
Moderate Flex
The Riders that like to have fun doing a little of everything will want a moderate or medium flex that allows for easier landings, buttery turns, and more forgiveness in all kinds of conditions. Found on the Ace Wood and Xcal wood.
Medium Rocker
Medium rocker boards find the perfect balance between high rocker high performance and flat light wind rockers making the boards great all around boards with lengthened turning radius. Found on the Ace Carbon, Ace Wood, XO and Spectrum.
Quad Channels
Strategically placed channels in tip of the board provide traction when riding and when loading for big air. These channels also provide absorption when riding through chop and during heavy landings.
H20 Recommended
While this board can be used with any of the Cabrinha bindings, we recommend the H20 Binding to be the best pairing with this board.
Rails Channels
Channels on the outside rails of the board to help with traction and grip when riding on edge, and to also aid with pop for freestyle tricks.
Single Concave
A single concave that runs through the board, providing excellent grip but also a smooth ride.
Astra
Enhanced edge control
Phenomenal rail hold for easy upwind tracking and confident boosting, a result of the balanced harmony engineered between outline, rocker and flex.
Dynamic flex
Ride in comfort, with precise edge control for carving. The flex characteristic of every TwinTip Board is determined by multiple features built into each specific design. Core thickness variations and taper, as well as detailing, longitudinally and laterally, play the most significant role in controlling the overall flex and feel. Board specific laminate layups then allow us to further fine tune the flex and board characteristics. We adjust the stiffness lengthwise and torsionally in conjunction with the rocker line, plan shape view and profile of the board, to give each board its specific performance characteristics.
Lightweight, impact resistant eco core
Paulownia is a highly renewable hardwood species, with one of the highest strength to weight ratios. Ultra lightweight, with a high shear force and high impact resistance, Paulownia wood forms a non-toxic core which significantly displaces the amount of foam or resin used in manufacturing, thereby reducing carbon emissions. Each board has a customised core thickness individually fine-tuned to ensure its characteristics are consistent throughout the range, no matter your size or weight.
Durable ABS rail
For long-lasting, impact-resistant performance.
Ergonomic handle
Lightweight and ergonomic TPE material with ultimate grip when wet.
Integrated grab rail
Integrated into deck shape to provide easy grip for board-offs.
Recommended with flex bindings
Soft cushioning with just the right amount of grip underfoot. Pure-comfort seamless KnitFlex inners and triple-density GripFlex footbeds are combined with customised size and stance adjustments for a locked-in feel and dependable support. Sold separately in sizes S/M or M/L.
Hybrid basalt construction
The heart of this board is a light and strong Paulownia wood core. We’ve orientated the e-glass and unidirectional basalt tapes in the laminate layup to optimise the loading of the individual fibres, resulting in a unique construction method with superior performance. Made from natural molten volcanic rocks, basalt fibre provides a lightweight structural reinforcement that is stronger and more responsive than e-glass. The basalt UD tapes contribute to a board’s lively feel and lower weight, delivering more pop without adding an unnecessary amount of stiffness.
Medium-high outline curve with NEW tip shape
Delivers easy carving through turns and always provides optimised grip.
Progressive rocker with pulled-in tips
Early planing and great low-end performance, with greater control when overpowered.
Single concave to quad channel tips
Absorbs impact by breaking the water surface tension, and ensures stable and predictable landings.
